Rated 5 out of 5 by from YUP, didnt think i needed the smart base. I was wrong. Yes, absolutely love the smart base. Super easy to assemble. Its very heavy so take the suggestions to get help on install seriously. I find the vibration a little cheesy right away because its not effectively doing anything but a soft rumble. However, ive really enjoyed it for relaxation. Its only effective on the low setting, medium and high simply vibrate too fast and you cannot feel it. Id like even a slower vibration. The under lights were unexpected as i never saw the need for it but their motion sensor and soft amber have simply created a necessity i didn't know i needed. Its expensive, its heavy, it fit inside my existing bed frame, would highly recommend. Just do it.

Shipping was fast which is always great, however the box arrived in incredibly poor condition which could be shipping but the fact that I have to hang on to it for a couple months in case I need to return the base is annoying since I won't be able to ship the base back in the box it came in. Set up was easy enough, definitely needs two people though as it's heavy. Mine arrived with the left side under bed USB ports broken so for now they just dangle underneath the bed vs being in their compartment, hopefully customer service will be able to resolve that for me. Overall the base is very nice, it's sturdy and looks good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most wonderful bed & nice people to sell it to you. I have some disabilities which caused me to need a new bed. I'm so pleased with the purple mattress & adjustable frame. It is firm without being hard as a rock, cradles all my aches & pains, doesn't make you hot like memory foam, it is the ONLY bed I have ever had where I cannot tell when my husband moves around or gets up & down. It's as if the Purple company knew exactly what my husband and I needed in a bed and made it just for us. I would say the only thing I could improve would be the fact that we got the Premier 3 & not the 4. I have slept so much better in my new purple Premier 3 mattress with adjustable frame.

This made watching tv and reading less comfortable and with the zoned mattress on the restore plus it made the mattress stiff and lumpy. I am disappointed in this product. As it has also made my mattress softer with the less support as it doesn't have slats every 3 inches. Wish Purple had a better return system for products its not my fault this company is in Utah. Also been waiting for a mattress warranty from 19 days ago. I would recommend there traditional platform base and a new restore plus that doesn't have a defect down the center. Sorry purple I am just being honest.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great idea just don't like mattress sliding I love the idea that you can raise your feet and/or your head while reading and watching tv which is 100% better then trying to prop up with pillows. My only negative aspect is that when you have the head raised the mattress slides down. It comes with a bar attached at the foot of the frame to keep the mattress from sliding off. Also note if you sleep with the head elevated that you'll probably slide down in the bed. If we elevate the head while sleeping we just lift it a little to avoid sliding to the foot of the bed. Other then that love the idea and it's seems to be made with sturdy construction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like the base. I thought I bought the one with massage Why can't Purple exchange base when I made a mistake ordering. I thought I was ordering the base with massage. The one I received the one without massage. I think that if item was ordered by mistake Purple should exchange base just like the mattress. I am not happy I can't exchange it for the smart base with massage. I thought that was what I ordered. I need the massage for health reasons.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nonrefundable, beware! The mattress were purchases, the Purple Restore Premium, is awful. We are returning it, however, the bases are nonrefundable. This was never communicated to us. I definitely do not recommend Purple because of this. If you don't like the mattress, you cannot return the base. What good is the base without a Purple mattress. I was told from Purple that the reason is because it would be too hard to box up and return. It comes on a box truck, so this is just crazy. Therefore, I do not recommend Purple.

But the remote is horrible. the iPhone app doesn't have all the functions so we have to use it. it should light-up when touched. when it's dark, i can't see anything on the remote to change the setting. Please update the remote (and send it to me)! Otherwise, the base is offers a lot. it's very heavy, so keep that in mind when going upstairs!
