This wine punch celebrates the Maple Leaf flag with plentiful red berries mixed with sparkling white wine.

Ingredients

• 

2 cups (500 mL) sliced strawberries

• 

1-1/2 cups (375 mL) raspberries

• 

1/3 cup (75 mL) orange liqueur or orange brandy

• 

2 tbsp (30 mL) granulated sugar

• 

2 tbsp (30 mL) brandy

• 

1 small lemon, thinly sliced

• 

12 mint leaves

• 

Pinch salt

• 

1 bottle (750 mL) chilled sparkling white wine

Preparation

In pitcher, stir together strawberries, raspberries, orange liqueur, sugar, brandy, lemon, mint and salt; refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or for up to 4 hours. Stir in sparkling wine; top with ice.
