The vice president of the Pantone Color Institute, Laurie Pressman, says it’s a color that anticipates what’s going to happen next. As we embark on a new decade, the Institute recognized feelings of instability amongst us all today. It chose a shade that offers reassurance, confidence and connection during an uncertain time.

The official Classic Blue scent is a contemplation of where sky and sea meet, the taste is flowering vines, the touch is a soft, velvety texture and the sound is vivid nostalgia. Another interpretation of Classic Blue is an earthy, floral musk; a blue raspberry syrup; the feel of a new, plush couch and underwater, ethereal sound.
