Slideshow -- Carnival in Curacao

Join a parade in Curacao with photos from a Carnival reveller.

By Kevin Revolinski

The city center of Willemstad on Curacao is a UNESCO world heritage site. Its colonial architecture influenced by Dutch styles is unique in the Caribbean. The city is divided into two sections -- Otrabanda and Punda -- separated by St. Anna Bay and connected by a long pontoon bridge that swings back and forth like a door. Carnival parades take place in Otrabanda.
