WHAT'S NEW

3 hot polish colours for fall

Get the scoop on manicure trends for fall and winter.

By Janine Falcon

OPI Siberian Nights
Last year's black and blackened purple polish did for nail lacquer what Quentin Tarantino did for John Travolta's film career: kicked it back into the spotlight with an unexpected quirky dark turn. This fall, the dramatic manicure continues as a trend.

Deep hues of purple and navy, as well as rich red, are striking complements to the season's wardrobe shades of cozy grey, black and royal purple. Here's our roundup of attention-grabbers; most are new for fall and will be available starting in September.

Deep purple
You can still get away with O.P.I.'s Lincoln Park After Dark, but this season's dark purple has a livelier hue.
