6. Update your makeup bag Is it time to throw out that old tube of mascara? Clean out your makeup bag and treat yourself to a new supply of fresh spring makeup. Check out Revlon's new Limited Edition Collection (available at drugstores and mass retailers nationwide until December 2007), which features a stunning palette of colours for eyes, face and lips.
7. Dally with daffodils March's flower is the daffodil. This bright and inviting yellow flower traditionally symbolizes rebirth, hence its association with springtime. Surround yourself with this fragrant flower this month.
8. Get in shape The arrival of spring means that summer is just around the corner. If you've been hibernating all winter, now's the perfect time to get outside, get some fresh air and get some exercise. If hopping on a treadmill or elliptical machine bores you to tears, why not commit to a walk every evening? You'll feel invigorated by the crisp spring air and you'll burn off some extra calories -- you'll be grateful when summer arrives and it's time to trade in your bulky winter sweaters for sweet summer dresses.
9. Clean out your wallet Your wallet can become a receptacle for unnecessary items, which makes it difficult to find things when you really need them. Throw out old bills and business cards that you don't need and file the ones you want to keep.
10. Eat right March is National Nutrition Month, so what better time to improve your eating habits? This month, make an effort to get your five to 10 a day. To reduce the risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease, Canada's Food Guide to Healthy Eating encourages Canadians to consume at least five servings of fruits and vegetables a day, depending on your age and gender. You can now create your own personalized Guide online at the website for Canada's Food Guide.
Sauntering into spring with a bounce in your step is as easy as these 10 steps. Get things sorted at home and you'll feel lighter and less burdened. Good luck with making March matter.
