Download of the month -- Personal property sheets

Take inventory of your personal property and make note of its value. In the event of a robbery, you'll have the information you need to replace your stolen items.

By Jessica Ross, Homemakers Magazine's executive editor

If you had a break-in, would you know the value of the stolen goods? Or even prove you owned them? Document your possessions by filling out a personal property sheet for everything you would want to replace.

Work room by room, filling out details and taking photos. Assemble these sheets in a binder and attach the photos, along with other documents. You can also use these sheets to pass on heirloom information for the next generation!

Download and print personal property sheets in PDF format. PDF format requires Adobe Acrobat Reader. Get a free version here).

For a digital version, download the Excel file.
