Breast cancer fund-raisers 2006

5 ways you can contribute to the cause.

KitchenAid's Pink Limited Edition Artisan Series Stand Mixer
It can be hard to know where to give your charity dollars these days. Calls for fund-raising contributions, charity support and donations for social programs abound. But in October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, your money can support breast cancer research in myriad ways. What can you do? Here are five easy -- but important -- ways to help fund research and find a cure.

KitchenAid Cook for the Cure
Add a splash of pink to your kitchen and make a generous contribution to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. For every purchase of a KitchenAid Pink Limited Edition Artisan Series Stand Mixer, KitchenAid Canada will make a $100 donation to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. With every purchase of the KitchenAid Pink 12-Cup (3L) Food Processor, KitchenAid Canada will make a $30 donation to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. And with every purchase of the KitchenAid Ultra Power Series Pink Blender, a $15 donation will be made. Visit www.kitchenaid-cookforthecure.ca for more information.

Scotch Pink Duct Tape
Scotch Duct Tape is now available in a fun and whimsical shade of pink. More than just fun to work with, this tape has been specially designed as part of Scotch's commitment to raising awareness about breast cancer. Fifty cents from the purchase of every roll of Scotch Pink Duct Tape will be donated to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. You'll find Scotch Pink Duct Tape at select merchants across Canada for approximately $4.99 a roll. (Click here to view image.)

Cashmere and Scotties
In July 2006, boxes of Cashmere bathroom tissue and Scotties facial tissues began sporting a pink ribbon in support of breast cancer research. A three-year partnership with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation means that the Cashmere/Scotties brand will be actively involved in fund-raising initiatives and will also make a significant financial contribution to help fund research. You can also visit www.cashmere.ca to purchase a CD featuring contemporary tunes from artists like Aretha Franklin and Sarah McLachlan -- $2 from every CD purchase will be donated to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. You can also get a CD with two proofs of purchase of specially marked Cashmere and Scotties products and the same donation will be made. (Click here to view image.)
