Ouch. The pinch of a flu shot isn't pleasant, but it's a minor inconvenience compared to how you'll feel if you come down with the flu. Fortunately, you can get an effective flu vaccination.
Health Canada recommends that Canadians get vaccinated each year in the fall. Depending on which province you live in, the flu shot is either free or available at a small cost. Newfoundland and Labrador www.health.gov.nl.ca Check out who's eligible for free shots and get facts about the flu. Click on Guide to Health & Community Services to get contact info on your closest public health agency.
