Delray Beach, Florida: A peaceful spring break getaway

Head to this charming seaside village, where you can relax and restore your energy.

Where to eat
With plenty of great restaurants in downtown Delray Beach, you won't go hungry or run out of dining options before your trip is over.

Boston's on the Beach
40 S. Ocean Blvd.
Enjoy casual and satisfying fare at this modest beachfront restaurant. Head to The Upper Deck open patio for dinner where you can dine under the stars and gaze at a moonlit Atlantic. Try a delicious crab cake appetizer with succulent stone crab, all at affordable prices, or stick to beer and wings while watching a sports game on one of their flat-screen monitors.

Cabana "El Rey"
105 E. Atlantic Ave.
Fill your tummy with delicious Cuban and Latin American cuisine at this caliente Delray Beach restaurant. Wash down spicy empanadas and shrimp fritters with a mojito or some sangria and you'll be hungry for more. While Latin music plays and you're eating delicious ethnic delights, you may feel like you've travelled farther south than Florida. But Cabana's warm ambiance and genuinely hospitable servers will make you feel right at home.

City Oyster
213 E. Atlantic Ave.
When you're ready for a night on the town, head to this stylish restaurant. Its expansive bar and lively music offer a bit of a clublike feel, but its booth-style seating offers the kind of comfort that's perfect for jet-weary folks. Have one of their yummy and fresh seafood mains and choose a glass of wine from their extensive list.

Dada Restaurant and Lounge
52 N. Swinton Ave.
There's no putting on airs at this blissfully bohemian restaurant, where you can take in live music and poetry readings. There's a diverse menu, hearty portion sizes and unapologetically indulgent desserts you'll likely have to share with a friend after filling up on the tasty main course. Coloured lanterns and lattice-backed benches deck the patio area, where you can enjoy your meal on a pleasant evening.

Packing too many activities into your travel days can lead to the kind of trip you'll need a few days to recover from. Take time to slow down, relax and truly enjoy each moment and you'll find yourself pleasantly refreshed when you arrive at home.
