Go ahead, grab a piece -- chocolate, especially dark chocolate, which contains 70 per cent or higher cocoa solids, is a rich source of flavonoids. These compounds have an antioxidant effect on our bodies.

Careful, however: Chocolate is also a rich source of calories and fat; moderation is key.
